Paris Opera rocking in the Sahara Desert after stage 5

Go figure huh? End of day day 5 (42.2km or 26.2 miles) and that was after the previous 50+ mile day. Day 5 described in guide book as go N/E, sandy wadi bed, more and more wadi, sandy valley, MIND THE CREVASSE (technically adjusted crossing), dried up lake, no sh--t, cross wadi, stony plateau, scattered dunes, exit dunes, head N/E bearing 36 degrees....gotta say it...Ouch!

But when you think it s not possible for more surprises. The sun begins to set, you hear the big helicopter landing, and out pops the Paris Opera.

What? I have to share. Thank you all again. Thoughts to follow as soon I stop for a few days. I've been working non stop since Rick's Cafe in Casablanca. And yes, I am still in the WOW stage..I did it! We did it! Big Smiles.
