Real Transformation and the Cup Cake Moment
In my opinion, real personal transformation does not "just happen" at the finish line. I believe that it starts from the very moment you commit to action. The very moment you truly commit to making the positive change, whatever that may be...a business strategy, a personal goal, your first 10k, slowing down on partying, a mountain top perhaps, or just simply being a nicer person to yoursef and to others. The "real" transformation is happening during this process. And the transformation continues to develop during this process and becomes much more permanent as you continue the journey. That is when real transformation is working and at its best.
The "cupcake" moment appears when you see it through, when you chose NOT to give up when the waves got choppy and the sky went dark. And when those waves settle and that sky becomes clear, and your mind is happy and feels bright. Voila! the "cupcake" moment. I feel.

Two weeks, two Non-Profits and the greatest people! Thank you.
Wow – I have had the most wonderful two weeks of sharing Team Everest and other life adventures; and the tough challenges and tough choices we make in our life. This last trip, once again just proved to me that when we look beyond ourselves, amazing things will happen to benefit all people. And I feel so on top of the world with the folks that I met whilst visiting – I can honestly say that I feel really lucky right now and so, so inspired to continue advocating for all people, especially those with disabilities. And help ensure that people with disabilities may live, learn, work, play and participate fully in their community of choice.
Thank you to the West Virginia Advocates for inviting me to speak. And more importantly, for everything that you all do to protect and advocate for the human and legal rights of persons with disabilities.
Big thanks to The Gardner VNA - wonderful folks, great community involvement, strong networking and committed dedication to providing high quality, affordable health and social services to North Worcester County and Franklin County.
Thank you Latrice for the photo. My best - Gary

Cause the walls start shaking...Stage 5 (42km - 26 miles) we start.
Do you ever wonder why a sandwich tastes better when someone else makes it for you? It is the same bread, the same mayonaise, same cheese, same lettuce, tomato, etc. etc. as one would choose for themseves - but why does it just taste better? hmnnnn.
I think it is a love thang. And we cannot get enough of this. Spread it on.
Have a great Sunday everybody!
